Museum Director Joseph E. Salvatore, MD and the museum’s Board of Directors would like to announce the promotion of Mr. Bruce A. Fournier to the position of museum Deputy Director. Mr. Fournier is a life-long resident of Cape May County and has been employed at NASW since April of 2009 serving as museum educator.

As Deputy Director, Mr. Fournier will take on a management role in overall museum operations while also holding his former responsibilities for educational programming, the annual Historic Lecture Series, AirFest and the museum newsletter. He holds a B.A. in History from Youngstown State University, attended classes at the La Salle University Non Profit Center and has twenty three years of retail experience here in Cape May County. Mr. Fournier is also an active volunteer for Lower Township Little League.

Over a year ago, the former control tower from Atlantic City’s Bader Field Airport arrived at Naval Air Station Wildwood (NASW) here needing restoration. The tower arrived disassembled with steel girders and a catwalk in a stack and the control section sitting on a flatbed trailer.
