CONSOLIDATED PBY “CATALINA”

The PBY “Catalina”was probably the Navy’s most useful aircraft during World War 2.Designed for use as a patrol aircraft, the PBY filled a variety of roles,anti-sub warfare, recon and search and rescue.The Catalina’s first wartime achievement was locating the Battleship Bismarck in service with the R.A.F.
